The Capo Valley girls swim team is having another strong year in defending last year’s South Coast Championship title.  The girls started the year ranked 7th in Orange County and justified the ranking with second place finishes at the Villa Park and Capistrano Valley Relays.  They posted a fourth place finish out of over 30 teams at the Millikan CIF Relays.  This is the highest finish in over two decades.  In addition to the great performances in the relays, the girls are 3-0 overall in dual meets and 2-0 in the South Coast Conference.  To date the girls have won meets against Aliso Niguel, Dana Hills, and El Toro.  Several girls have achieved top 16 times in Orange County this year:  Brooke Lorenzen, Claire Van Houten, and Felicia Wang.  All three relays (200 medley, 200 free, and 400 free) are ranked in the top 8 in Orange County.  Results from all dual meets are posted at swimphone.com.  The girls are currently ranked 6th in OCVarsity.com and swim against 8th ranked Mission Viejo on Tuesday, April 17.

The Capo Valley girl divers participated in their first meet of the season at the Mission Viejo Invitational on March 31.  Nicole Ford finished fourth with 444.35 points and qualified for the CIF Championships in May.
